Who we are
Hearts+Minds is an online platform for women that goes beyond the superficial. We are a group of women who want to uplift and inspire others, no matter where they are in their daily life.
What we do
Through regular blog posts, podcasts and meet-ups across Ireland, we help women to find respite, draw inspiration, and discover community, so we can all see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
Teens & technology: how much is too much?
Screens are here to stay and while there are huge advantages there are also huge risks for our young people. As a parent, it is increasingly difficult to know where the lines should be drawn, given technology’s undeniable impact on their social connections, sense of identity, education and emotional well-being.
Marriage and Logistics: 3 ways to make it work
Although logistics and romance don’t seem at first glance to be a pleasant pairing, every married couple will inevitably have to try to accommodate both. Relationships at the outset tend to be all fun and flowers; however as time moves on and a couple get married, finances, shopping, house maintenance etc need to be considered. This becomes even more onerous when a couple have children, leaving little time for much needed shared fun and frolics.
Heaven - does it exist?
I do not think anyone would argue with the breathtaking beauty of our planet. God’s creation is a true wonder for us. Our faith tells us, however, that this world is just our temporary dwelling and that there is an eternal dwelling that far exceeds anything we could imagine.
How to enjoy the festive season without the stress
Christmas is a time when everyone takes a break from work, study and routine to be with family and friends. There's no other time when everyone does this in unison, and that's why it really is ‘the most wonderful time of year’. This special time, however, can be hard-earned!
Sustainability - leave a mark you would be proud of!
My sister had her first baby two years ago and I must admit I thought she was mad to even consider non disposable nappies and wipes. I imagined the scenario where the last nappy has been used, and the rest are all wet in the washing machine – panic!
How can we find rest and relaxation at home during these times?
Home should be a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life – a place where we can retire after a long day and get recharged for what lies ahead.
